You can benefit duty free shopping if you are not a European resident, are over 15 years old, and have made your purchase (of over 175 €, in the same shop, on the same day) within the last three months. To be reimbursed for 12% of the VAT (value added tax), ask for "Tax-free Shopping France" receipts in the tax-free tourist stores. Have them stamped at customs and return the pink stamped envelope that you received when you paid for your purchases.
